Schon 1998 sammelte Rotwild mit dem RCC 1.0 DMS reale Belastungsdaten am Rahmen. Dehn-Mess-Streifen und Beschleunigungssensoren lieferten Messwerte direkt aus dem Renneinsatz über die Alpen.

Das R.G+ FS 4.0 aus dem Jahr 2000 zeigt Rotwilds experimentelle Seite im Downhill-Bereich. Der auf Zug belastete Dämpfer unterhalb des Tretlagers und 230 mm Federweg waren damals alles andere als Standard.
